Biodiversity and Conservation
Some of today’s most exciting and relevant research is in the area of biodiversity and its conservation. To conserve life forms in any given ecosystem we first need to understand and then classify them. This specialised area of study combines biology and ecology with genetics, taxonomy and evolutionary biology. Students learn through engagement with some of Macquarie’s world renowned research. Students are encouraged to take field study to experience these ecosystems first hand.
