Biomolecular Sciences

Based on biochemistry and molecular biology, Biomolecular Science is the study of biology at the molecular level and extends into the fields of genomics, proteomics, glycomics, biotechnology, structural biology, microbiology, genetics and bioinformatics.

Knowledge of Biomolecular Science can be applied in, for example, designing a new drug or diagnostic, determining how the cells in organisms interact, or understanding disease and differentiation processes in humans and plants.

Graduates from Biomolecular Science can work in medical, veterinary and agricultural research as well as in the pharmaceutical, diagnostics or biotechnology industries.
