Graduates of the BIT LLB degree will be entitled to admission for professional practice in New South Wales, subject to the requirements of professional training. The program will contain all subjects required by the authorities concerned with professional practice and necessary for admission to the College of Law.

This combined degree allows students to complete two Bachelor programs in five years of full-time study. The Bachelor of Laws qualifies graduates for admission to legal practice. It involves an innovative approach to legal education and scholarship. Personalised teaching and development of internet technology in the curriculum reinforce our reputation for innovation. We provide a coherent, broad-based and interdisciplinary approach to the study of law in both its historical and contemporary settings. The Bachelor of Information Technology specialises in developing the full range of skills required for a career in computer software development. The core program concentrates on developing practical skills in programming, information systems and software engineering.

Students with an interest in the application of Information Technology methods and technologies in a legal context and in the legal issues raised by advances in Information Technologies in business and government.

Recommended Prior Knowledge:

Assumed knowledge: Mathematics.
Recommended studies: Mathematics (Band 4) or HSC Mathematics Extension 1 (Band E2) or HSC Mathematics Extension 2, Information Process and Technology and/or Software Design and Development.
